Sand Fest '06
I teamed up with Mark Flynn in the Masters Duo competition again
this year. Great guy and an awesome carver.  Our theme was titled
"Calamarie's Revenge".  The sculpture survived high winds and 2
days of rain. So did Mark and I, though barely.  ;)
The last day of the Master's event, two people thought it would be funny to
destroy one of the sculptures. Around 1am they succeeded in destroying 2 days
of HARD work. At 3am, they showed their overwhelming intelligence and
passed back by the event. The police picked them up and they got to spend the
rest of the weekend in jail possibly facing felony charges. Yup, real funny. All the
Master sculptors pitched together to help the couple from Ukraine do a pound
up on their sand mound so they could at least finish SandFest carving. They did
great.
Here's my daughter's sculpture. She took first place in the
youth solo division. Must be in the genes!
Heather Woodworth aka "BeachWolf"
1st place, youth solo division. Sandfest 07.
Lastly, here's the logo I did for Coastline Adventures on the face of Lesson Mountain.
Lesson Mountain itself was built by me,
Gloria "Dragon Lady" Fric, Tom Kreyling
and Arnie Spicer, a vacationing firefighter from Milwaukee Wisconsin. Thank you!

Here's some closer shots of the pieces I worked on.
An unnecessary tragedy.
Here's the rebuild they did in just under 6 hours. Amazing.
Congrats Andrii and Iryna !
Here's Tom working on a sunken chest and Arnie and his
son working on a sea shell.
